Unfamiliar Tour

The focus of Violetta Perra’s performance was on the creation of traces by making an unfamiliar city tour, by embodying the Rahova-Uranus area in order to discover the urban and social architecture of the city.
By performing a blindfolded action, she was guided and accompanied for a small trip by someone around the area of Rahova Uranus, in order to re-discover the city through the ‘senses’.

Walk/talk

According to Michel de Certeau the act of walking is connected to the urban system in terms of ennonciation: The act of walking is to the urban system what the speech act is to language or to the statements uttered.

Ceel Mogami de Haas and Florent Meng decide to stride along the city of Bucharest during 5 days inviting every day a new person to join them in a walk/talk. This walks, that all last for 6 hours and cover about 20 kilometers, are documented in various ways. The walk/talk project aims at producing new forms when the conventional tools turn out to be inadequate to capture everydayness.

About architecture and utopia, Rahova sectorul. An untitled art work.

This projet is a proposition tied to the different layers of architecture in Bucharest and its eclecticism. Supposed to be an installation in the public space, the projet has undertaken different modifications due to difficulties involving the public area of Rahova Uranus in a difficult political context. I wanted something less intrusive depending of our situation of visitors.
These pictures of utopic models are something built in link with my feeling of foreigner in a place I didn't know. It improve my own work, as well that it is questionning the specific urban configuration of Bucharest and its successives utopia. From past to future... depending of the present now...
